Louis Van Gaal: Issues WARNING To Grumbling Manchester United Fans

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal has warned club fans who want him out of the club that they will have to stick with him for longer as he would be back next season to finish his three-year contract.

Van Gaal issued the warning after fans jeered the Dutchman on the pitch as he took the microphone following victory in the club’s final rearranged league game following Sunday’s fake bomb scare.

United finished outside the top four for only the second time in 25 years — yet LVG said: “The fans are expecting a lot but I think these expectations are much too high.

“We are a team in transition and I said that when I started here with Manchester United. Maybe I need to bring over the message much clearer.”

Asked if he expected to remain as boss despite Jose Mourinho being tipped to take his job, the outspoken Dutchman said: “Yes. Because I have signed a three-year deal.

“I want to fulfil that. The transition is not over yet. I’m still the boss.”

Fans deserted Old Trafford with stands left half-empty for the rearranged game but United won with goals from Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

And LVG accepts his team has gone backwards after missing out on the Champions League.
